Melbourne Beats Monthly Mixes
Melbourne Beats Monthly Mixes
In September 2005 the moderators of Melbourne Beats (MB.C) decided that there was so much talent of such a diverse nature on MB.C that it would be a shame not to showcase it in one way or another. Lynt posted the following thread asking for nominations and ideas for the concept...
http://melbournebeats.com/forum/viewtop ... onthly+mix
From there the community has not looked back, with the monthly mix becoming a highly anticipated and well loved event. Each month has displeyed the talents of one of the nominated artists, and the range of styles displayed is evidence enough that MB.C is a hive of talent, diversity and pure unadulterated love for the beat...
enjoy...

I think it's about time melbournebeats.com got its own Monthly Mixathon podcast.
Why don't we set up an RSS feed with each month's mix and submit it to the iTunes podcast library? At the moment, people have to go fishing through threads to find the archives, and this thead isn't being updated any more.

So when's this permanent archive being set up??? Come on, someone take responsibility! There's some wicked mixes that have been put together on here, it's a real shame to see them get lost into the sands of time.
Is there an issue with storage or bandwidth?

For those interested... my Jan '08 MBC Monthly Mix can be found here:

It's a dub/hip-hop/dnb affair, hope you like it.

Re: Melbourne Beats Monthly Mixes
It just seems odd that there are so many people willing and waiting to do a mix and no mixes are going up.
Re: Melbourne Beats Monthly Mixes
we had someone confirmed for oct who never came back with the mix. nov i was just rubbish and failed to sort it out in time. we were meant to get ahead so this couldn't happen, but never got to that stage. mea culpa. will try to get back on top of it now i'm back.
